Joel is SO bored without Zak & Zoe at home. So after being home for two days in a row other than a quick trip to the library on Tuesday, we made a trip out to grab some deals today at Giant Eagle & Kroger. At both places I noticed they weren't doubling some of my coupons so I asked about it because I've never had problems before. They have always doubled my coupons that say "Do Not Double or Triple" at the top. I was told they are not supposed to do it anymore (at both stores) and that they are really cracking down. From what the cashier told me at Giant Eagle, the manufacturers pay back a portion of the coupons that are doubled but when it says not to double or triple, the store doesn't make any money. So, I was a bit bummed today when I ended up spending a good chunk more than I had intended to today. Oh well... Just thought I'd let you know.

I also found out today that Giant Eagle will double up to FOUR like coupons...not only two, like it says on their ad. I've always been planning my shopping based on two like coupons, but saw a sign today at the checkout and also asked about that.
