Giant Eagle Shopping Trip 10/17/09

Today I made a visit to Giant Eagle--I'm not normally a fan of going to the stores on a Saturday because of it being a bit more chaotic. Being I have a dentist appointment Monday morning while Joel is at school and other commitments throughout this sale period, today was the day...or most likely miss out.

This is what I came home with:


4 packages of Yoplait Yoplus Yogurt--FREE!!
2 packages of Yoplait Fiber One Yogurt--FREE!!
2 packages of Musselman's Healthy Picks Applesauce--FREE!!
2 packages of Sargento Shredded Cheese--$1.80 ($.90 ea.)
1 McCormick Almond Extract--$2.13
21 Yoplait Yogurt Cups--$9.60 ($.46 ea.)
4 jars Classico Pasta Sauce--$4.00 ($1.00 ea.)
1 McCormick Cream of Tarter--$.39
2 bags Ore-Ida Tater Tots--$3.00 ($1.50 ea.)
2 boxes Cinnamon Toast Crunch--$2.80 ($1.40 ea.)
2 boxes Golden Grahams--$3.00 ($1.50 ea.)
4 boxes Rice Krispies cereal--$2.00 ($.50 ea.)
4 Chef Boyardee Microwave bowls--$.80 ($.20 ea.)
4 boxes of Bagel Bites--FREE!!
2# grapes--$1.74
2 containers of Turkey Hill Ice Cream--$2.67 ($1.34 ea.)

They took $4.00 off my bill instantly because I bought 4 boxes of General Mills Cereals. After that I ended up paying $1.80 for 4 boxes of cereal.

I also received an $8.00 coupon to use for my next shopping trip!! This was as a result of buy 10 participating items--mine were the 4 jars of Classico, 4 Bagel Bites and 2 bags of Ore-Ida potatoes...all of which I spent $7.00 on today...so basically, I got it all for free and made a $1.00!! :)

I also got a coupon for 2 free Yoplait cups and one for $1.00 off of a yogurt that I think is absolutely disgusting so I'll leave it nameless.

I paid a total of $29.93 for everything. It would have been $1.00 less but I think she forgot to scan in one of my yogurt coupons and I didn't catch it till now. Wasn't fairing too well with the whole yogurt deal today. I would never pay as much as I did for yogurt cups today but didn't realize till I got home that some of them rang up for $.70 rather than the $.50 as I thought they should...come to find out, only the Thick & Creamy and Whips are on sale for $.50. Bummer! Thankfully yogurt is something we eat a lot of in our house (obviously!) so it won't go to waste but I wish I was paying better attention...but I had Zoe with me...enough said! ;)
