I started this blog several months ago in order to help others find the grocery deals that I was having so much fun loading up on. I saw the huge benefits it was having in our family and wanted to share that with others. I love having this blog and the fact that it has helped so many people. God has really used it in amazing ways.
Quite honestly, I put a lot of time into it...sometimes probably too much. Sometimes I feel like it has become a part-time job. I'm not complaining about that at all...I know that this is something God has called me to do. I have really been trying to figure out where I want to go with the blog so that I can reduce the time I am on my computer. I also want to be more organized in my posting rather than being fairly random with a bunch of printable coupon posts...maybe a schedule of some sort so that you know what to expect each day.
So if you could all help me out, I would really appreciate your input...
*What do you find most useful/helpful on this blog?
*Is there anything that you want to see more of?
*Is there something that you would like to see on here but haven't seen yet?
*Is there anything that you find totally useless?
I would also be interested in hearing your stories...has the blog and/or attending one of my coupons classes changed things for you and your family...how?
If you've attended the class...what has been most helpful for you? Has it proved to be beneficial in cutting your grocery spending? Would you recommend the class to others?
As far as coupon classes go, are you interested in attending one but the dates don't work for you? Is anyone interested in a Saturday morning or afternoon class?

I know this would take more time though, but would keep the readers of this blog, on your blog and not cross referencing with others. Are you able to work with other bloggers to get the help you need and save yourself some time. Other than that, you do a fantastic job.
Thanks for the suggestion and your encouragement...I can try to add the insert sources, if I have time. I've wondered in the past if I should do that b/c I see it on other blogs. I have honestly never met anyone who uses that system of filing their coupons so I've always wondered if it would even be worth my time. I clip all of my coupons immediately and let others have what I don't want so I don't have that immediately available. I would need to find all of that info from a computer database online. I will try to get that info on my coupon match-up posts in the future. Thanks for your input!

ReplyDeleteI love your blog and couldn't do my shopping without it. I think it's great just the way it is, to be honest. I find everything I need. I can see the point made about labeling which insert a coupon came from, but I've never thought about it before because I just figure if it isn't in my coupon box, I didn't cut it out, so it doesn't matter. Thank you SO MUCH for your help and your time/effort. I have given your blog to 5+ people who use it regularly also, so thank you from them, too!
Shelly, this is such an amazing tool for poeple to use, I know I really appreciate all the work you put into it. I don't know that I would change much - but I feel that I'm personally able to benefit from what you post. I think you should add a donation button on your site so people can donate to what you do - wouldn't be a lot but would helpful for all the time you put into it. (I don't know if you have to open a paypal account to do that)

The funny thing is that I recently moved from Perrysburg to Texas, but I am STILL on it, even though the stores are different down here because it is so useful.
