This week at Meijer was a great one for sales and lots of freebies! You can still get in on the sales if you get there before midnight today. I haven't seen a week like this at Meijer in a long time. It was so fun! I went to Meijer way more than any person should in a given week but it was well worth my time! I've hardly spent any money and was able to get tons of stuff for very little out of my pocket.
This is one of my trips yesterday...
I spent $2.51!! Without coupons and sales I would have paid a little over $40.
I was able to get:
1 package of Halls Cough Drops=FREE!
2 bags of Dole salad=FREE!
4 boxes of Betty Crocker Fruit Roll-ups=$1.00
2 Betty Crocker Warm Delights=FREE!
4 boxes of Lance's snack crackers=FREE!
2 gallons of milk=$4.58
1/2 gallon of chocolate milk=FREE w/ purchase of 2 gallons white milk
2 boxes Jiffy cornbread mix=$.94
2 bags Green Giant frozen veggies=FREE!
I used two checkout coupons that I received from some purchases mid-week (find out about those in this post)--one for $2.50 and one for $3.00. My total would have been $1.00 less but it was my fault...I was at a self checkout and there were issues with one of my salad coupons. The cashier didn't think it went through, I thought it did...but it really didn't I later found out when looking more closely at my receipt. Oh well...
Some of these items will get donated because they aren't things we necessarily need...but it was FREE and if someone else can use it...why not!? :) The cornbread was something I needed to make a corn casserole for a Girl Scout function this coming week. YUM!
I made another trip to Meijer last night with a friend and grabbed the fruit roll up deal two more times and some other items that ended up being free with coupons. For the fruit roll ups, I did two transactions and got a $2.50 coupon back for each one. This is a money making deal!
