This Week's Shopping Trips

I haven't really done a whole lot of shopping this week other than some small trips today. Earlier in the week I had to pick up stuff for the kids' Valentine's Day parties. Spent way too much money on candy...and that was with coupons!

The boys both needed shoes. On Monday I bought a pair of shoes at Target for $20.00...OUCH! I know in all reality that is not much to pay for a pair of shoes...but I don't like it. I didn't have any luck with the clearance racks this time around. :(

Then today...guess what I found for just under $22???

TWO pairs of shoes! I was pretty excited!! :)

I had it in my mind to go back to Target to get the other pair of shoes I needed but saw the sign in the Payless window that said Buy One, Get One Half Off. That peaked my interest and it ended up being a worthwhile trip.

Joel's shoes were on sale for $17.99 and I decided to get Zoe a pair that was marked as $11.00. When the guy rang them up they rang up as $5.00 and with 1/2 off...I got them for $2.50!!! They are fun shoes that fit Z's personality so perfectly! They are continuing this sale through Monday (2/15)! I might go back!?!



I ran into Giant Eagle quick today to grab a few things that I knew were on sale and I could get for fairly cheap. I was able to get 1 box of Bisquick, 2 Betty Crocker Potato Pouches and 4 boxes of pretzels for $3.80.




I had time so I decided to also run into Kroger to see what I could get for cheap with the triple coupon promo they have going on right now. I was able to get everything pictured above (plus a 2# bag of Twizzlers and some Kit Kat bars--Tim "needed" these for his retreat) for $12.95. In addition to the Twizzlers and Kit Kat bars, in case the picture is hard to see, I was able to get 2 boxes of Betty Crocker Muffin Mix, 1 packet of Knorr soup mix, 4 packages of Kroger sliced cheese, 1 package of Pampers wipes, 4 Suave deodorants, 4 2-bar packages of Lever soap, 4 microwave bowls of Chef Boyardee, 1 jar of Welch's grape jelly, 1 Nature Valley Granola Bars and 1 box of Cheerios.

For the granola bars and Cheerios, I had received some coupons from Kroger to get these items for FREE! :) I had no coupons for the cheese...it was part of the Daytona promo going on for $1.19 ea. after the discount. All of the rest of the coupons were from the coupon inserts except for the muffin mix coupons--I printed those from Coupons.com.

I had also made a stop at Meijer. I didn't take a picture of this...it was mostly basics (milk, bread, fruits, veggies) and a few good deals. I spent a little less than $20.00 there.

So overall a decent shopping day!
