Book Review: God's Little Princess Devotional Bible by Sheila Walsh

I received a complimentary copy of God’s Little Princess Devotional Bible, by Sheila Walsh, from Thomas Nelson. The cover was immediately appealing to my daughter who is 7 ½. She could NOT wait to get her hands on it. The big crown with the pink jewel drew her in! The back cover of the book states that it is for 4-7 year olds but after reading it through, I think that it would be good for girls a bit older than that as well. My daughter LOVES it!

I love that this Bible has bigger print and easier words so that young girls who are in the early stages of reading can read on their own with a small amount of help. This gives them ability to read the Bible on their own, learn from it, apply it and develop good devotional habits at a very young age. It is very exciting to me when my daughter picks up the Bible without my prompting and will read and share what she had learned!

I really like that this Bible has the story to read and then an activity to do afterward. There are many different activities to keep young girls interested and not get bored—role playing to Scripture memory to a song to beauty tips.

I think this is the perfect Bible for a little princess!

I received this book for free from Thomas Nelson Publishers. I was not required to write a positive review. The thoughts above are my own.
