Check the Kroger ad for a complete list of sales and things you may need. If there are any deals that I missed, please leave a comment! Thanks!

Most Kroger stores in the area will only double up to $.50 BUT these prices are based on the Perrysburg Kroger. They will double coupons up to $.99. Anything $1.00 and over will be taken at face value.

  1. So after printing all the coupons I wanted from Coupons.com, I was more than a little disappointed to see that every one of them says DO NOT DOUBLE OR TRIPLE. Why is everybody getting to stingy and greedy now and not letting us double our coupons??? Grocery shopping used to be fun, but now I'm not getting the deals I used to get...I think we should plan a revolt.

  2. Those coupons will most likely double in the stores’ computer systems. The coupons on Coupons.com have always been like that though…it’s not a change. Not all of them say that but a lot of them do.

The UPC codes on manufacturer coupons can start with 2 different numbers…either a ‘9’ or a ‘5’. The coupons with a ‘9’ will scan as face value only even if it is with a value that is able to be doubled. If it starts with a ‘5’ it will automatically double in the computer systems, as long as it is within the store doubling limits.

As far as not getting the deals that you used to get…things are different b/c P-burg Kroger and Giant Eagle no longer do super doubles…with the exception of special weeks like part of last week and part of this week. I think there are still quite a few deals out there though. And be thankful, b/c there are some areas where the stores do not double anything. Some of it could also be b/c of the time of year…we are moving into a different season so there are going to be really good deals on different things now, and not the same stuff we’ve found over the colder months. This is where stockpiling comes into play and proves to be very beneficial. Last year, around this time of year, is when I started working my stockpile…you’re soon going to be finding all of the cleaning supplies, condiment type stuff, salad dressings, cheese slices, grilling meats (brats, hot dogs, etc.), lemonade/Crystal light mixes, etc. go really cheap so those are things that you can stock up on soon. I stocked enough stuff that I am just now getting low on salad dressings, BBQ sauce, lemonade, etc. Soon I’ll be able to stock it all back up to last me through the winter again.

  3. Shelly, I called Kroger today and they are still doubling $1.00 coupons and still don't know when it will stop. Also, I have a $1.00 off 4 coupon for Pringles. They are on sale at Kroger for $1.34 so that should be $.84 each when you buy 4, right? Lora

  4. Yes, they would be $.84 ea. with doubling coupons up to $1.00. :) I didn't make my post to reflect the doubling up to $1.00 because I didn't know how long Kroger would do it. My guess is that it is going to be done today because today is Giant Eagle's last day for Super Doubles...we'll have to wait & see.
