  1. Hey Shelly, its Amy! I just had a question for you; when I scan my Meijer Mealbox coupons, they come up as a 0.0 value and my total amount owed does not change?!?! The girl working at the self-checkout registers said the amount comes off the actual item, but I was not seeing this!?!? Do you know how this works??

  2. The Meijer Mealbox coupons should come off on your receipt under each item if your cashier scanned them in. It will list the item and then under it you'll see where it subtracts the coupon. If it is a $1.00/2 Mealbox coupon...it will take $.50 off of each item. Some cashiers do not like them and will input them manually. What I've noticed is that it will say something like 'coupon promotion' (if I remember correctly) toward the top of your receipt and usually has zeros next to it but then the actual amount should be deducted below the item itself. Your total balance SHOULD change as the cashier scans them though...that is proof that it is being deducted from your total.

One thing I have noticed with Meijer Mealbox coupons is that they are very specific to size/type/etc. so that is something to really pay attention to. Otherwise it will show the 'coupon promotion' at the top with zeros next to it but yet never really came off b/c it wasn't applicable to what you bought.

If you're sure they should have come off, you could always print the Mealbox coupon again and take it to the guest services desk...tell them what happened and from my experience they will usually take it off. You could try it w/o taking in a 2nd coupon...but I've found it's easier if you just print it again.
