Today's Shopping

Today I was able to get out and do some shopping...for deals and for some necessities. I tried to take pics but the camera batteries died after the first picture. :(

Here is my Giant Eagle Trip:

I spent $1.23 on all of this! :) The cashier told me that he needed to learn how to do that.

I was able to get:
6 Right Guard Deodorants @ $1.00 ea.
-$2.00/2 (used 3) printed from Coupons.com (no longer available)
=6 for FREE!!

2 Fruity Pebbles Cereal @ $1.67 ea.
-$1.00/2 from inserts
=$1.17 ea.

1 Kellogg's Fruit Snacks @ $2.00
-$1.50/1 from Vocalpoint (Not a member? Sign up here!)
=$.50

4 Betty Crocker Frosting @ $1.00 ea.
-$.50/1 from inserts (or here)
=FREE!!

1 Heluva Cheese Block, 16 oz. @ $4.50
-FREE item coupon that I received for Becoming a Fan on Facebook
=FREE!!

I also used a $2.00 Giant Eagle Store Coupon that I received last week for items I had purchased.

I had a 97% savings!! :)

My Trip to Kroger:
3 packages of Oscar Mayer Bacon @ $2.99 ea. (Regularly $5.99!!!)
-$1.50/1 coupon from this post (used 3)
=$1.49 ea.!!!

I spent $2.97 on 3 packages of bacon! AND I got a $2.00 coupon back for my next shopping trip!! So really I only ended up paying $.97!! :)

I also went to Meijer and spent $21.68 out of my pocket. I had $21.28 left on a gift card that I used as well. There were too many items to list them all right now. We have 3 parties coming up for the boys' birthdays so I had to get some stuff for that--pop, M&M's for the "famous" M&M birthday cookie (& Monster Cookies!), milk, veggies, fruit, cheese slices and a few other things. I also grabbed all of the free (to cheap) items--chex mix, frozen veggies, bagel bites, boxed potatoes. Check out my Meijer post for the deals!

I've mentioned this before in some of my posts, but I think it's always good to be reminded...there are lots of people all around us that have very little. When you are able to get something for very cheap or free...consider getting it even if you don't need it for your own family. Consider donating these items to a good cause. A local food pantry...local shelters...maybe a family that you know personally! It is a blessing to be able to give to others. Watching my kids get excited about giving to others blesses me as well!
