I also have 2# of taco meat and cooked, cubed chicken and a bag of plain pork chops to do with as I wish.
And this is what my freezers looked like when we were done! YIKES! I had to leave out 3 meals because there is NO WAY that they would fit...it aided in the meal planning process for our crazy start to the week.
I had totally underestimated how much more I could fit in my freezers. I really did think I could shuffle stuff around enough to make it easily work. Let's just say there was a lot of cramming and shoving involved when I was putting away these meals!
I will try posting some of the recipes in the upcoming weeks. For several of them, check out my post from our last cooking day here.
Wow I am impressed! I wish I had a deep freezer!
ReplyDeleteSounds like you used some good recipes!

I think I've told you this before...but you might be surprised at what you can fit in a fridge freezer!
ReplyDeleteCheck this post out here: http://moneysavingmom.com/2010/04/how-to-have-a-freezer-cooking-day-if-you-dont-have-a-deep-freezer.html
It explains how to make a small freezer work.
And our garage freezer is nothing huge (It's shorter than me if that tells you much! HA!) but it works!!
