Target Pop-Tart Deal

I promised the kids a date before school started--a date that would include picking out their backpacks for school and to do something fun. Today was Zoe's turn. I took her to get her nails painted...she thought it was the best thing on earth...and I felt a little out of my realm in this fancy place (...fancy to the farm girl in me who has NO fingernails!!) in Levis Commons. Anything for Zoe...:)

We went to Target for the backpack hunt and she found one. We also found a good deal on Pop-Tarts which Zoe was probably just as equally excited about! In the Target ad for this week it said 8 count boxes were $1.75. Today we went in there and they were marked at $1.52. The coupons I mentioned in this post said they were for Blueberry Muffin. Target did not have this flavor so I used a $1.00/2 coupon from yesterday's inserts and two Target store coupons for $.75/1 from here. AND, using my coupons at Target did not go as smoothly as my last visit so there was a little bit of grumbling from my cashier because it wouldn't scan, but she put them through and I ended up with two boxes of Pop-Tarts for $.54!! So shop at Target with coupons at your own risk!

$2.00 Coupon--Heathly Choice!!!

**UPDATE: This coupon has already hit it's print limit. Sorry!

Be sure to check them out before you do your shopping!!! Meijer will double coupons up to $.50, but will only double two like coupons. After two they will only be taken as face value.

Get a Sunday Paper!!! :)

If you did not grab a paper today and want some good coupons...rush to your nearest store or gas station to see if they have any left! It was an excellent day for coupons! Technically, there were 5 inserts in today's paper...there was a Kellogg's/Keebler insert but it was inside one of the others so it only appeared to be 4.

In skimming the ads & coupons quickly I see a few good deals already. I'll try to post deals & coupon match-ups later tonight. We have pools-n-ponds here tonight for youth so we'll see how that goes...otherwise, they'll be up tomorrow.

Hope you are all having a blessed day! :)

Coupons, Coupons, Coupons!!!

Today is the day that new coupons were added to a lot of the popular coupon sites. Coupons.com, Betty Crocker and Pillsbury to name a few. My printer is printing away as I type!

Here are some of my faves:
Coupons.com
$.40/1 Fiber One Bars
$.50/1 Betty Crocker Warm Delights--print this NOW and you can run to Meijer and get these for FREE as they are on sale for $1.00 till midnight today!
$.75/1 Cheez-its
$1.00/1 Kellogg's Cinnabon Bars (I just used some coupons this past week and bought 2 boxes...they are GONE! My kids LOVED them!)
$1.00/1 Kellogg's Special K Blueberry Cereal
$.75 Special K Pretzel Bars
$.75/1 Kix Cereal
$1.00/2 General Mills Cereal
$.40/1 Betty Crocker Cookie Mix--print this NOW and run to Meijer and get it for $.20--on sale for $1.00 till midnight!!
$.40/1 Betty Crocker fruit snacks
$.55/1 Trix Cereal
$.55/1 Honey Nut Cheerios
$.50/1 Chex Mix (most likely free if it goes on sale for $1.00 before expiration)

Pillsbury/Betty Crocker (coupons are the same on both sites but I believe you should be able to print two of each coupon from both sites)
$.60/2 Old El Paso products
$.50/1 Betty Crocker frosting (free if it goes on sale for $1.00)

I recommend printing what you think you'll need or use now because there are not only printing limits per computer but there are also overall print limits on the coupons. Some would say it's not frugal to print ahead of time in case you don't use it in the end. I, personally, prefer to take the risk of wasting a bit of ink. At the end of a month, I do throw away some printables because I didn't end up using them but it's the chance I take. You should be able to print two of each coupon, so go back to print again!! :) Getting multiples of coupons helps save more money and also is beneficial in building a stockpile. See post on stockpiling here!

Pop-Tarts Coupon

UPDATE: There is also a Target store coupon here that can be used with the printable below. The Target coupon is $.75/1 on an 8 count box. Watch for Pop-Tart sales at Target!! And for those of you that know that I get frustrated with couponing at Target, I've went there a couple of times over this last week and they have accepted my coupons with no problems...and one wouldn't even scan and the woman was kind enough to enter in the UPC code. I'm not sure why others have not been able to do that but whatever.

Smartsource Coupons

It looks to me like Smartsource got a few new coupons on their site recently.

The few that I noticed are:

$.75/1 Taco Bell Home Originals Dinner Kit
*The last time they had this coupon out and there was a sale at Meijer, I was able to get the kit for $.69. The kit includes 10 flour tortillas, a packet of taco seasoning and a packet of salsa.

$.50/1 6 pack cups of Mott's Plus Applesauce

$.75/1 Wackymac Pasta Veggie Spirals
*I just used 2 of these coupons at Kroger this week. A bag of the pasta was $1.49 and with the coupon being doubled, I was able to get it for FREE! These noodles work good for pasta salad.

Home Made Simple Coupon Booklet

I didn't go back and look but it seems like I just posted this where you could order one of these, but I just saw where there is a new link available and you can sign up again...and I was able to!! :) There are some good coupons in this booklet...one is for a FREE bottle of Cascade Crystal Clear Rinse Agent. There is over $30 of coupons in it!! :) Go here!

All You Magazine Deal ends TOMORROW!!!

Just wanted to let you all know that the All You magazine offer, 2 years for $16, ends TOMORROW (July 31). The prices are going up quite a bit once August hits (August?...already??...where did the summer go?).

Anyway...go here if you're interested! I recommend reading the FAQ's before starting to place your order.

And if you haven't heard this before...This is an awesome magazine for coupons! They do sell it at Walmart. I bought a second copy of the August issue toward the beginning of this week. I believe the cover price was $2.94, but it rang up as $2.24 AND I had a $1.00 coupon from the issue I had received in the mail, so I paid $1.24 for the magazine. I went to Meijer on Tuesday night and used a coupon out of it and got an item that was $4.89 for FREE! I used 2 identical coupons for some fruit on sale at Giant Eagle...the coupon was for $.75...they doubled it and I got a jar of Dole All Natural fruit for $.50...two jars for $1.00! They would have cost me $4.00 on sale. Anyway...well worth the money you put into this magazine!!

Has anyone ordered this magazine...or bought it at Walmart? What do you think? Do you think of it as highly as I do?

JELL-O Coupons

Go here to print a coupon for JELL-O, $.50/2. Click to go back and print two!

If you watch sales, it often goes on sale for $.50 a box. If you go to a store that doubles coupons, you can most likely get 2 boxes of JELL-O for free.

One Life to Love

I've heard this song, One Life to Love, by 33 Miles, many times recently. Last night I was out & about running some errands (grabbing some good deals, of course!), enjoying some time all to myself and heard it again. My first thoughts were...it sounds a little bit country! ;) And then as I continued to listen more closely I realized that there is a huge message in this song. It really made me think.

I thought about all of the opportunities I've missed to show the love of Christ to others. And why do I miss those opportunities? Is it because I let fear get in the way? Do you do this?

I thought about how sometimes we think we have to do something BIG in order for it to matter. Why do we think like that? Why do we think that things have to be huge in order for them to matter? And when we think we have to do BIG things in order for them to matter...does it make us too busy to the point where we put God and the people we care about the most on the back burner? Something Tom said a few weeks ago in his sermon stuck with me, "If Satan can't make you bad, he'll make you busy". I chuckled when Tom said it...but think about it...when we get too busy with "stuff" it causes us to fall in other areas. When we're too busy we can't reach out to others as often as we should because we're caught up in the "stuff".

It made me think about the sermon on Sunday and Romans 12...when we don't use the gifts God has given us, we're cheating others. We all have gifts...why don't we use them? God gave us those gifts to use for HIM...why aren't we putting them to good use for His glory?

I had to ask myself...am I making the most of EVERY moment I have here on earth? This is time that God gave me...what am I doing with it? Am I loving others as I should? Am I looking for love in the wrong places when I know that THE only TRUE love is in Christ?

Take a listen...

What are you thinking about? Are you living a life of love?

I don't want to live my life and look back and have regrets. We are given ONE life to make a difference...let's use it...for HIM!

Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. --Ephesians 5:1-2
