Good Deals! :)

Here are some pics of my good deals tonight! I want to go to Meijer and grab some necessary stuff later in the week but here are some pics of the stuff I bought to add to my stockpile (except for the socks!).

First I went to Meijer to grab the Finish dishwasher detergent. I wanted to catch this early in the week to make sure I got the deal and also grabbed a couple of other things while I was there.



I spent $16.52 on a package of socks (7 pairs), 2 packages of Eclipse gum (BOGO coupon), Cascade rinse agent (FREE coupon), dried meat snack (FREE coupon), Neutra Air starter kit (reg. $12.49...was half off and I had a $4 coupon) & refill ($.99 with $4 coupon), 2 boxes of granola bars (used 2 $.40 coupons that were doubled) and 4 boxes of Finish/Electrasol dishwasher detergent (used 4 $2.50 coupons plus 2 mealbox coupons).


And I'm most excited about this purchase at Kroger...


...$28.33. It said it was 82% savings on my receipt! With my Kroger card & coupons I saved $115.33 (my coupons were almost $86!!). It's SO FUN saving money and finding good deals!! :) I was able to get 2 gallons of milk, 4 boxes of Special K bars, 2 packages of Sargento cheese (both FREE!), 2 packages of Keebler cookies (both FREE!), 3 pk. of Scotch Brite sponges ($.50), 2 pkgs. fem. products (both FREE!), Sunny D, Glade Warmer and 2 refills (almost all free...paid $.18), 4 packages of hot dogs, 3 whole fryer chickens, 3 WW yogurts, 4 packs of Duracell AA batteries, 11 tubes of toothpaste (I'm not keeping all of these...I will be donating most of these...I paid about $3 for all of them.), 2 deodorants (both FREE!), Tylenol Extra Strength (this was going to be $.50 w/ my coupon but the cashier ended up giving it to me for free b/c they put the security tag on the bar code and it ripped off) and 3 packages of Twizzlers.

Grocery Deals

I've gotten some AWESOME deals these past couple of days! I've been to Meijer (both Rossford & Oregon), Kroger (Perrysburg), Target and Giant Eagle.

Yesterday at Meijer I pretty much just stocked up on the deals BUT the one deal I was most excited about...toilet paper...they were all out of. Northern TP, 6 double rolls, is on sale right now for $2.50. There is a coupon available at www.meijermealbox.com for $1.00 off of 1 package of TP. Today I went to another Meijer and was able to find the deal. I was able to get each for $1.50...I bought 8!

I've not been one to shop at Kroger or Giant Eagle but ever since my free cereal experience at the Perrysburg Kroger (because they double up to $1) I've made sure to check the ads to see what good deals I can get. I still don't shop there too often but will try to snatch up a deal if I have time.

Kroger is currently having a deal where if you buy 10 of specified items then you'll get $3 off instantly at the register. Today I went there and bought some of the items. Betty Crocker fruit snack stuff is part of the deal...you can usually always find coupons for these. They were $1.19 a box with coupons ($.50/2 doubled--use 5). Also, by purchasing over 5 boxes of fruit snacks, I received a coupon for $3.50 off my next shopping trip. I was also able to get 3 bottles of Kraft BBQ sauce for FREE and some Ragu pasta sauce for $.09!! So check your coupons & the Kroger ad and see what deals you can get!

Today was my first "real" trip to Giant Eagle. I'd been there one time before to grab some fresh bread or something like that. I check their ad every week but nothing ever really catches my eye...till this week! :) I got my customer card and away I went. They also double coupons up to $1. I was able to get quite a bit of free stuff today. My Giant Eagle purchases are in the picture above...the boys were wanting to be a part of it since they "helped". Everything in that picture (plus 4 packages of hot dogs that made it to the garage freezer) cost me around $20. I had also bought $20 worth of pop--they have a deal going where you get 5- 24 packs for $20...I decided to stock up! With coupons...2 packages of Bertolli Premium Pasta sauce, 2 bottles of Kraft salad dressing, 4- 8 oz. Cool Whip, 6 boxes of jello, 1 box of Wheat Thins, 3 boxes of Mini Wheats...all free. Check it out...this week's sales go on through July 1.

At Target, I got some good deals too but I have to tell you, they are VERY picky about their coupons and I don't know that I'll go there anymore with coupons. I seriously had a cashier today that read ALL of the fine print on my coupons...never had that happen before...and then tried to refuse them. I had to explain the wording to her so that I could use them. The last time I tried to use coupons there they refused to take them (even though they were from their own website) and I didn't end up buying the stuff. Anyway...they do have a good deal on Eggo Bake Shop stuff--there are $1 coupons out there and you can get it for $.50...if they let you use the coupons! Does anyone else have trouble there?

After this week, I'm getting closer and closer to my established stockpile. I'm getting pretty excited! :)

FYI

If you get the Toledo Blade (or maybe any Sunday paper?), the Parade magazine had a coupon for the Easy Mac Cups buy one, get one free. At Target this week they are are $.73 each. I think these things are somewhat expensive when you compare the price to a whole box of mac & cheese...but they are convenient, and that is nice when you're in a rush or only need it for one person.

You may want to verify this before heading over to Target--the picture in the Target ad included these but there was no wording to say so. I've also read online in other blogs that these are included...this week they have their Eggo Bake Shop stuff on sale 2/$3. You can get a coupon here for $1.00 off, making them $.50 each.

Kraft Reduced Fat Cheese

Kroger has Kraft shredded cheese on sale for $1.69 this week. Here is a $1.00 off coupon for the 2% Reduced Fat cheese that you can use and get it for $.69 or free...dependent on which Kroger you shop at. If you printed this coupon when I posted it previously, it might not be available to you any longer, depending on how many you printed before.

Lysol Products 1/2 off at Meijer

I made a quick stop at Meijer this morning...well, as quick as it can be with 3 kids in tow and after our 4th stop for the morning!

Anyway...Meijer has some of their Lysol products 1/2 off this week. Today I picked up 2 bottles of toilet bowl cleaner at $1.09 each. I also got some kitchen cleaner for $1.29 and all-purpose cleaner for $1.39. In this past Sunday's paper there were several Lysol coupons that you are able to use with these sales. With the coupons listed in my Meijer sales post yesterday, I got all 4 of these items for a whopping $.86!!!

I did my grocery shopping for the next couple of weeks tonight and found out that Meijer will only double two of the same coupon. For some of my items I had four coupons and they would only double two of them. I have not noticed this before and I'm pretty sure I've used more than two of the same coupon. So for future reference...to get full use out of all of your coupons, if you have more than two of the same, make multiple trips. Or, I wonder if they would let you do two separate orders??

UPDATE: I had to make a quick trip to Meijer this afternoon so I thought I'd swing through the cheese aisle and see how much the Kraft singles are selling for. The price at 1/2 off is $1.59. That means if you buy two packages with the coupons listed below, you get both for $1.18!! That means each package of cheese slices is only $.59!!! That could mean lots of grilled cheese...for cheap!

Meijer Mealbox Coupons/Update

I've mentioned before that I use www.meijermealbox.com as a source for coupons. I've neglected to mention...and had temporarily forgotten, for whatever reason, that you can use the Meijer Mealbox coupons along with Manufacturer's coupons.

This is good news!!! With there being SO many Kraft coupons available out there to print along with some good sales out there this week you can get some good deals! Here are a few updates to what I posted on Monday.

There are also some $1.00 printable coupons out there for Kraft salad dressing. At Meijer this is selling for approximately $1.58 right now...and there are coupons on Meijer Mealbox as well. If you were to use both, I believe they will let you keep the overage, which would be $.42. And if you have the $1.50 manufacturer's coupon from the Sunday paper a week or so ago...you could keep $.92!

There are printables for $1.00 off of Kraft BBQ sauce...this item would be free at Walmart. When I was there last week they were selling it for $.98. I've heard it would be free at Kroger as well...but I haven't verified this on my own.

coupon $1.00 = $1.50/box (if you registered for Kraft, this is one of the coupons you can print)...also, if you buy 2 boxes, and 3 Kraft chunk cheese pkgs., you get the cheese for $1 each

Kellogg's selected cereals 5/$9 ($1.80 each)
I'm not sure which cereals are the "selected" ones, but if any of the coupons mentioned last week are valid...you can get cereal for $.80 a box!!

What a STEAL!!!!

Yesterday I went to the Oregon Kroger and bought a few boxes of cereal. I had wanted to buy more but when I was sorting through my coupons I accidentally put some back in my coupon file rather than putting them in my purse so when I got there I couldn't get what I really wanted to get...I'm NOW very glad that happened!!! Today Joel had school so I decided to run a few errands while he was there. I ran to the Kroger in Perrysburg quick to grab some more cereal. I first had 6 boxes and the cashier told me that there was a 4 box limit when two of my coupons wouldn't scan. So I gave her 2 of the boxes and was prepared to pay my $4. When she was done taking those two boxes off, it said my balance was $0.00! I told her that something must be wrong because it said $0.00. She was confused so canceled the whole sale and we re-did everything. It still came up $0.00 and she realized then that it was right because at the Perrysburg Kroger they double coupons up to $1.00, which I did not know. I walked out of the store with 4 boxes of name brand cereal and didn't pay ONE CENT! How exciting is that!?!?

I'm not sure why all of the Kroger stores are different...Oregon only doubles up to $.50, Bowling Green doesn't double at all...and Perrysburg doubles up to $1.00. But let's just say I'll be looking at the Kroger ad and my coupons a little more closely from now on!!
