Kmart Double Coupons

This is the week of double coupons at Kmart. Be sure to read the letter I received below very carefully because the guidelines/rules are very different than they were for previous double coupons events. Two things that stick out to me the most are that you can only use 5 coupons per day and you have to have their rewards card.

FREE Snuggle @ Kmart!!

UPDATE: I was at Target & Walmart today in P-burg and neither store carried the exact match to what Kmart had in their ad...therefore, I was not able to do a price match.

UPDATE: If you do not want to make a special trip to Kmart...you could also price match at Walmart or Target.

FREE Snuggle Fabric Softener!!!!!

I had read on a few blogs yesterday that Kmart had Snuggle Fabric Softener on sale for $3.00. Before posting I wanted to check it out for myself. Joel & I ran there quick today because I had 5 of the $3.00/1 Snuggle coupons left from a few weeks ago. The Snuggle was in fact marked down to $3.00...we bought 5 of them today and a package of M&M's for Joel. With the M&M's and tax, I paid $1.69!!

Their shelves were fully stocked and I noticed 3 different scents to choose from...check it out!

Kmart Doubles Week!!!

Kmart is doubling up to $2.00 this week! Here is the email I received from them stating the specifics:

Dear Shelly,

Thank you for contacting Sears Holdings Corporation regarding our Kmart double coupon event. This event runs from 9/27 through 10/3 for select Kmart store locations. Coupons of up to $2.00 will be doubled with the purchase of $25.00 or more in grocery and drugstore merchandise.
Participating stores only. The store in Oregon, Ohio is participating in this event.

Amount of credit from doubling a coupon cannot exceed the current retail price of a single item. No cash or in-store purchase credit will be awarded for any amount exceeding the retail price of the item. Limit 1 coupon for each item purchased. Only 1 coupon will be doubled per item.
You may only purchase 4 of the same item using double coupons. Excludes Buy One, Get One offers, Kmart Savings coupons and Kmart Store coupons.

Today I was checking out some frugal blogs and on several I noticed that they were talking about Kmart having a Double Coupon Event. At the end of August, I had read that Kmart was no longer going to be doing this. Apparently they have decided to bring it back!! I emailed Kmart to see if they were going to be doing double coupons at our local Kmart...I got this email in response!

K-mart Doubles Week!!!

Kmart is doubling coupons up to $2.00 this week! Sadly, from what I've read on a few other frugal blogs, this will be the last time they will be doing it for a while.

*have purchases of $25 or more in grocery & drugstore merchandise
*one coupon will be doubled per item
*only able to purchase 4 like coupons using double coupons
*excludes BOGO offers, Kmart savings coupons, Kmart store coupons
*limit 10 coupons per customer per day

Another Double Coupon Week

Kmart is scheduled to have another double coupon week next week (8/30).

Today's Deals...and maybe the longest post ever!

UPDATE: For the Kroger trip, I added an e-coupon to the Pillsbury refrigerated items and also changed a few of the totals because I realized I made a few mistakes. Sorry about that...I was in a hurry late last night to get it done. I also put links for the e-coupons at the end.

First stop: Kmart


This week is a double coupon week at Kmart. They will double coupons up to $2.00. I spent $19.50 for everything in the picture AND two 18 pound bags of charcoal (didn't want to drag them in the house for a pic). When the cashier gave me my receipt, I also got a Kmart Savings Coupon for $3.00 off my next edibles or consumables purchase of $20, a coupon for a FREE package of Milk-Bone dog snacks and a coupon to receive a $10 gift card with a new or transferred prescription.

Meijer:

I made two trips to Meijer today because the Meijer near my house did not have what I wanted...Lysol wipes. I had to stock up on these! I use them at home and my kids needed them for school. I had waited and waited for them to go on sale knowing that I'd also be able to get some good coupons on Meijer Mealbox and the Lysol website. ...And they finally went on sale...this week! I was able to get the Lysol wipes for $.50 a container by using coupons found here and here. You can use the Meijer coupons with a manufacturer's coupon to get an awesome deal! I also bought 2 Family Size bags of tortilla chips...and paid more for 2 bags of chips than 8 containers of Lysol wipes. Crazy! Spent $9.96 for the stuff in this picture.

I got a lot of the deals mentioned in this post at Meijer on my first trip today. One deal that I got today that wasn't mentioned in the post was for Easy Mac Cups. I had a BOGO coupon and there is also a $1.00/1 Meijer Mealbox coupon...I got 2 of these handy mac & cheese cups for FREE!

*Most of the items were part of the Mega Event (all except for taco seasoning, pop and pasta). A lot of the items were not listed in their ad but I found while I was there. The prices above reflect the $.50 off if you buy 10 participating items and doubling of coupons up to $1.00. If you use the e-coupons, make sure that you load them about 24 hours before your shopping trip so that they are on your card. I loaded some last night and I know that I missed out on about 3 more...oh well. The e-coupons do NOT double!

*Only one coupon will be doubled per item.
*Only four of the same item using double coupons may be purchased.
*BOGO, Kmart Savings Coupons and Kmart store coupons are excluded.
*Limit 10 coupons per customer per day.
*Must purchase $25 or more in grocery or drugstore merchandise in order to get double coupons.

Kmart Deals

Here are some things I see at Kmart this week:

There is a coupon in the ad for a free pair of school scissors with a $15 school supply purchase. There is also a coupon for $5 off food & consumables, drugstore or school supply purchase of $50 or more (excludes backpacks, lunch kits, calculators). You are only able to use one of these coupons at a time.

*I'm not sure if you'll be able to print coupons for Bic anymore or not. When I look it up the page is blank but I'm not sure if that is because I've already printed mine OR if they are no longer available. So go here if you have time, and see if you're able to print.

MORE Kmart Deals!

Tonight the kids & I headed to Kmart again!! I was able to get almost $27 of stuff for just over $7.

I was able to get $40 of stuff for $10. I also got 2 Kmart savings coupons for $5 each at the checkout but I'm not sure that I'll use them because they have high spending requirements in specific areas of the store and I'm not able to use them during the double coupon event.

I'm sure there are a lot more deals to be had at Kmart this week, whether they be free or very cheap. If I have time this week, I may make a second trip with more coupons. I didn't get the cereal deal I mentioned in my post yesterday because it wasn't something I needed or would need anytime in the near future, nor do I want to store more cereal (if you saw my free cereal stash you would know why). If I am able to go back, I will grab it to donate to the food pantry or a family that I know has a need.

Kmart Doubles

Kmart is doubling coupons this week up to $2 WITH purchase of $25 or more in grocery & drugstore merchandise. It seems they change the rules every time they do the double coupon event.

Here are some other rules that apply:
*they will not give you any overage from a coupon
*one coupon per item
*can only purchase 4 of the same item using double coupons
*BOGO offers are excluded, as are Kmart coupons
*limit of 10 coupons per customer, per day

By looking at the ad, some good deals I see are...

General Mills Cereal Selected cereal or Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks 4/$6 (must buy 4!)

Depending on the coupons you are able to use, you could end up with 4 free boxes of cereal...or at least very cheap!!

Cover Girl Lip or Eye Cosmetics Buy 1, get 1 50% off
there are always CG coupons in the Sunday coupon inserts...find 2 to use.

I know there are other good deals that you could find in the store. These are just a few from that ad.
